About WaxStack
WaxStack tracks new vinyl pre-orders and releases across independent record shops and label stores, and emails you when something you follow becomes available — nothing more.
What it does
Follow an artist, a label, or a genre, and WaxStack emails you once when something matching opens for presale or goes on sale — not a feed to check, not a daily digest, just an alert when it's actually relevant.
How the catalog is built
Every release comes from a retailer or label store's own public storefront data — the same information their own website uses to show you a product page, not anything scraped from behind a login or a paywall. WaxStack identifies itself honestly to every site it reads from (a real, named bot with a link back to this project, not a browser in disguise), and checks each site's robots.txt before fetching anything from it.
Prices and shipping happen entirely on the retailer's own site — WaxStack links out to buy, it never sells anything itself or takes payment.
Who's behind it
WaxStack (ABN 33 204 162 778) is an independent project, operated from Australia. It isn't owned by, sponsored by, or endorsed by any of the shops or labels it tracks. Where a shop has an affiliate program, WaxStack may earn a commission on purchases made through links to that shop, and says so wherever those links appear.
