Terms of Service

What WaxStack is

WaxStack tracks upcoming vinyl pre-orders and new releases from independent record stores and label stores, and emails you when something matching what you follow becomes available. It's free to use. There's no account or password — following works entirely by email confirmation, and you can stop at any time via the link in any alert.

What WaxStack isn't

WaxStack doesn't sell anything, and no purchase ever happens on this site. Every "Buy" link takes you to the retailer's own store to complete the purchase there, under their own terms. WaxStack is not a party to that transaction and isn't responsible for a retailer's pricing, stock, shipping, returns, or the condition of anything you buy — any issue with an order belongs to the retailer you bought it from.

WaxStack is not owned by, endorsed by, or operated on behalf of any shop or label listed in the catalog. Where a shop has an affiliate program, WaxStack may earn a commission on purchases made through links to that shop at no extra cost to you, and says so wherever those links appear. Store and label names appear only to identify where a release is actually available.

Some Buy links are affiliate links: WaxStack may earn a commission if you buy, at no extra cost to you. Affiliate links never change the price you pay.

Accuracy of listings

Release details — artist, title, format, price, dates, availability — are pulled from each retailer's own site and shown as best-effort, not guaranteed. A price or release date can change on the retailer's side after WaxStack last checked it, and an item can sell out or be delisted between visits. Always confirm the actual price and availability on the retailer's own page before buying.

Using WaxStack fairly

Don't use WaxStack to abuse the following system — creating follows for someone else's email address without their knowledge, automating signups, or attempting to scrape, disrupt, or reverse engineer the service. Doing so may get a follow or email address removed without notice.

No warranty

WaxStack is provided as-is. It's run as an independent project, not a commercial retail service, and there's no guarantee it'll be available at any given time, that every alert will arrive, or that the catalog is complete or error-free. It may change, be interrupted, or be discontinued at any time.
